Presumably at one point it needed patches for those archs, I'm not sure as
to its current state, but I'm sure the yocto folks would love a patch for
oe-core to address any such issues.
I am still a little fuzzy about the folder "sysroot" as opposed to the
> rootfs folder.
The sysroot is used during the build so that a recipe can find files from
its dependencies. You should never touch it yourself.
